Former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has commended the peaceful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward congresses held across Kwara State, describing the exercise as a demonstration of the party’s readiness to reclaim power.

In a statement issued by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki said the congresses, which took place across all 193 wards in the state, reflected unity and internal democracy within the PDP.

“The congresses have once again showcased the growing strength of our party in Kwara,” Saraki stated.

He added that the transparent, consensus-driven process highlighted the party’s commitment to working together and positioning the PDP as a credible alternative to lead the state once more.

Saraki congratulated the newly elected ward executives, urging them to view their roles as a responsibility to serve the people.

He stressed that the new leaders have an important task ahead, calling on them to act as unifiers, mobilizers, and authentic representatives of citizens’ aspirations.

“The dedication of our leaders at the grassroots will determine the overall strength and progress of our party,” Saraki noted.

He also reassured party members of his continued support and urged all stakeholders to remain united as the PDP prepares for upcoming elections.
