Security Forces Thwart Boko Haram Attack in Maiduguri

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents attempted to infiltrate the Aljilari Cross area of Maiduguri, authorities reported.

The threat was detected early by vigilant security operatives, who quickly moved to intercept the insurgents before they could inflict harm.

Residents reported hearing gunshots and noticing an increased presence of security personnel as patrols intensified in response to the threat.

Authorities confirmed that no casualties have been reported and described the situation as “currently under control.”

The Army urged residents to remain alert and report any suspicious activity, emphasizing that community cooperation is crucial in preventing attacks.

This incident occurs amid ongoing security operations aimed at curbing Boko Haram’s activities in Borno State.
