Tems and Burna Boy Lead African Artists with Eight Billboard Hot 100 Hits

Date:

Nigerian stars Tems and Burna Boy have made history as the African artists with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100. The duo now lead the continent with eight entries each, surpassing their previous tie with a third artist who had seven.

The latest entries come from J. Cole’s album, The Fall-Off. Tems features on “Bounce Road Blues” alongside Future, which debuted at number 34, while Burna Boy appears on “Only You,” debuting at number 78. These new additions pushed their totals to eight, making them the African artists with the highest number of Billboard Hot 100 hits.

Tems has now achieved three Billboard Hot 100 entries in 2026 alone, including “Raindance” with Dave, “What You Need,” and “Bounce Road Blues”, giving her the most entries for any African artist this year so far.

Burna Boy, meanwhile, has set another milestone as the first African artist to place a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years. His past entries include “Loved By You” (2021), “Last Last” (2022), “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” and “Talibans II” (2023), “Just Like Me” and “We Pray” (2024), “WGFT” (2025), and “Only You” (2026).

With these achievements, Tems and Burna Boy continue to solidify their positions as global ambassadors for African music, showcasing the continent’s growing influence in the international music scene.
