Umahi Endorses Tinubu’s Second-Term Bid, Calls Nomination Form “Victory Form”

Date:

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has signed the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing it as a “victory form” and a signal of continuity in national development efforts.

In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, Umahi said the nomination reflects a broader national commitment to stability, continuity, and the consolidation of achievements recorded under the current administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He described the development as a key moment in Nigeria’s governance journey, noting that ongoing infrastructure projects—particularly in road construction and rehabilitation—are central to the administration’s economic reform agenda.

According to him, the President’s leadership has already set in motion critical development initiatives that require sustained implementation to achieve long-term impact.

“The ongoing projects across the country are part of the administration’s resolve to deliver tangible results,” Umahi stated, adding that Tinubu is well positioned to deepen development across sectors if re-elected.

He also called for continued public support, stressing that consistent leadership remains essential for achieving national goals.

The endorsement follows reports that the APC has begun formal processes for Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections, with nomination forms reportedly valued at N100 million.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the presidential election for January 16, 2027, while governorship and state assembly elections are set for February 6, 2027.
