Former Enyimba striker Victor Mbaoma is poised for a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following the end of his stint abroad.
The 28-year-old, who recently parted ways with Rwandan champions APR FC after his contract expired, is reportedly on the radar of NPFL title holders Remo Stars.
Mbaoma is no stranger to the Nigerian top flight, having scored 51 goals in 140 appearances during previous spells, most notably with Enyimba. He began his professional career with Remo Stars, also known as the Sky Blue Stars.
Sources close to the club suggest that Remo Stars are considering bringing the prolific forward back as they aim to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Mbaoma’s return would mark a reunion with the club where his journey in professional football began, adding depth to a squad looking to defend its NPFL title.
