The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has denied reports of mass defections from the party to opposition political platforms.
In a statement issued on Monday in Birnin Kebbi, the state APC chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru, described the claims as unfounded and without merit. The statement was jointly signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, Ahmed Idris.
Kana-Zuru asserted that rather than losing members, the APC in Kebbi is experiencing increased support from individuals across other political parties.
“We are growing stronger and stronger in the state and at the national level,” he said, urging the public to disregard rumours of defection.
He further reaffirmed the party’s commitment to internal unity and sustained engagement with supporters across the state.
