We’re not shutting down operations at Lagos ports-NPA

Authority of the Nigerian Ports Authority, (NPA), has said that the ports in the Lagos area will remain open and operational in the duration of the two-week lock-down of Lagos State.

In a statement on Monday, the General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communication department of the agency, Engr. Adams Jatto, assured all stakeholders that arrangements have been made for operations at the ports to continue without any hindrance.

The statement said that safety procedures, which will guarantee the wellbeing and security of stakeholders and staff have been put in place, adding that all are advised to kindly comply with directives of port officials.

It added that all other government agencies responsible for smooth operations in the ports are to be at their respective duty posts to discharge their functions in line with the presidential directive of maintaining operational functions at the Lagos ports.
