In a proactive move to ensure the 2027 General Elections are conducted in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, the Kwara State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has announced plans to launch a sensitization campaign.
The ‘Election Without Bitterness’ sensitisation and awareness campaign, is designed to engage key stakeholders and the general public in a dialogue on fostering civic harmony and constructive electoral conduct ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This initiative seeks to address the challenges of electoral discord by promoting a culture of tolerance and mutual respect among political actors and the electorate.
In a statement released in Ilorin, the State Director of NOA, Dare Abdulganiyu Olurorimi, emphasised the importance of collective effort in achieving a rancour-free election cycle.
“As we anticipate the 2027 General Elections, it is imperative that we begin to lay the groundwork for peace now. This campaign, ‘Elections Without Bitterness,’ is not just a slogan but a commitment to ensuring that our political engagements are devoid of animosity,” Olurorimi stated.
“We are inviting all stakeholders—including civil society organizations, community leaders, youth groups, and the media—to join us in this conversation. Together, we can build a Kwara State where elections are a celebration of democracy, not a source of conflict.”
