A lecturer in the Department of Politics and Governance, Kwara State University, Malete, Dr. Salihu Alabi Hammed, has assured Muslims across the world of his commitments towards uniting Islamic scholars across all nationalities.
The varsity don stated this during an exclusive interview with ROYAL NEWS Online on Thursday stressing that,”It is only in an atmosphere peace and harmony that meaningful development can be seen. Peace is the bedrock for development and we can afford to derail and allow ignorance to champion our daily affairs.
“However, in a bid to curb all forms of misconduct and misconception in out society, arrangements have been concluded to host a conference in Ilorin he Kwara State capital tagged: The Ilorin National Muslim Peace Conference.
“The event will hold on Tuesday, 19th November 2024 at De Peace Hotel & Suites, Tanke Road, Ilorin beginning from 10am.”
Dr. Alabi further said, “This conference aims to promote unity, understanding, and peaceful coexistence among Muslims. Your presence is highly valued. We look forward to receiving your esteemed presence.”
The Convener bagged Bachelor of Arts in History and International Studies 2005, Bachelor of Arts, Security and Strategic Studies and PhD in Peace and Development Studies 2023 all from the University of Ilorin.
His area of Interest includes, Religious conflicts among Muslim clerics, Security and Strategic Studies, Conflicts Resolution and Analysis.
He has supervised more than 10 students thesis in Political science, Public Administration and strategic studies. He published in local, national and international journals.
