An Imam of National Mosque, Abuja, Sheikh Dr. AbdulKadir Al Salman Sholagberu, has called on Muslim faithful to shun bitterness, enmity, and slander among different religious sects and doctrines to preserve the dignity of Islam.
He gave the advice during his inaugural Jumu’ah sermon held at the National Mosque in Abuja, urging scholars and preachers to embrace unity and cooperation rather than engage in divisive disagreements.
Dr. Sholagberu who is also the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate expressed concern over the growing trend of Islamic scholars and preachers engaging in public disputes over minor issues, noting that while differences in opinion are normal, they should not lead to envy or open conflicts.

He further reminded scholars of their vital roles in society, comparing them to teachers in schools and doctors in hospitals.
The cleric urged them to reflect on their responsibilities and lead with wisdom and humility.
Dr. Sholagberu also called on Muslim clerics to focus on promoting harmony and unity in the interest of the Muslim ummah and the nation at large.
