Tinubu Not Sick, Presidency Refutes ICIR Report

Date:

The Presidency has dismissed claims that President Bola Tinubu is sick and in critical condition.

The International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) recently alleged that the president had been bedridden for several days, prompting plans to fly him abroad for urgent medical care. The report, citing unnamed Aso Rock sources, claimed Tinubu’s absence from public events, including the Federal Executive Council meeting, was due to his health.

Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga refuted the claims in an interview with Daily Trust on Sunday. He insisted the president is in good health and that working from home is within his discretion.

“There is nothing wrong with the president, he is okay. He can choose to work from home. He can choose to work from anywhere,” Onanuga said
