The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the recovery of Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, brother of reality TV stars Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe, who was declared missing earlier this week.
Police spokesperson DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi said the case was first reported on September 1 after Odera left his Victoria Island residence with his father’s Nissan 350Z Convertible and failed to return. His family later lodged a missing person’s report on September 3 at the Victoria Island Police Division.
According to Oluseyi, Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh ordered an immediate investigation. Acting on intelligence and with assistance from members of the public, operatives traced Odera to the Mile 2 area, where he was found alive though in a distressed condition. He has since been reunited with his family and is receiving medical care. The vehicle was also recovered.
The Commissioner commended the swift work of officers and the cooperation of residents, stressing the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and urging citizens to report similar cases promptly.
