Enugu Boils as Governor Mbah’s Defection To APC Stuns PDP

Date:

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has formally defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mbah announced his defection in a televised address on Tuesday, saying the decision followed “long reflection” and consultations with stakeholders.

“Today, after a long reflection, we have made the decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party and join the All Progressives Congress,” the governor said.

His defection marks a major political shift in the Southeast, where the PDP has maintained strong influence for over two decades.
