Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday commissioned a newly built 350-seater library complex at the Lagos State University (LASU), Main Campus, Ojo.
The multi-storey facility, described as a major addition to the university’s learning infrastructure, features 24-hour reading rooms, seminar and conference halls, administrative offices, and other sections designed to enhance academic engagement and research.
The announcement was made by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, Jubril Gawat, via his official X handle. He noted that the library represents the state government’s continued investment in education and digital learning resources.
Gawat wrote:
“The Governor of Lagos State and Visitor to Lagos State University, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, will today officially commission and unveil the Lagos State University Library Complex, Main Campus, Ojo. The 350-seater Library is a 4-storey facility that includes 24-hour reading rooms, seminar halls, conference halls, administrative offices, and more.”
The new library follows the recent commissioning of the Olatunji Bello Complex at LASU’s Epe Campus, further signaling the government’s commitment to improving academic infrastructure across state-owned institutions.
