Kwankwaso Declares Himself ‘Priceless’ in Kano Politics

Date:

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso

Former Kano State governor and Kwankwasiyya Movement leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has described himself as “priceless,” insisting that financial incentives do not sway his political decisions. Speaking to supporters at his Kano residence on Tuesday, Kwankwaso emphasized that his choices are guided by principles rather than money.

The ex-NNPP presidential candidate in 2023 added that no one has ever attempted to “buy” him politically. He extended the same claim to his followers, asserting that members of the Kwankwasiyya Movement are equally “priceless” because they do not allow money to dictate their electoral decisions. He noted, “If my main interest were money, I already know where to align politically.”

Kwankwaso’s comments come amid rising tensions with Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, a long-time ally, following speculation that Yusuf may defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC). While expressing disappointment over political shifts in the state, Kwankwaso urged his supporters to remain patient, reminding them that political offices are temporary and circumstances can change, with divine intervention playing a role in outcomes.
