Davido Talks About Shielding His Children From Spotlight

Date:

Davido has said he would prefer his children to work in his father’s company rather than pursue careers in the entertainment industry, citing family stability and lessons from his own upbringing.

The Afrobeats star made the remarks during a widely shared interview with The Breakfast Club, where he was asked whether he would support his kids entering show business or joining the family business.

Davido explained that working with their grandfather would make life easier for his children, adding that his father’s initial refusal to support his own music career left him emotionally affected before his eventual breakthrough.

He noted that watching his father find joy in spending time with his grandchildren reinforced his belief that family happiness and security are more important than fame or industry pressure.

However, Davido stressed that he would not stop any of his children from pursuing entertainment if they choose to, adding that his daughter already shows interest in singing and dancing.
