Troops Kill Two Suspected Terrorists in Katsina Patrol Operation

Security forces have neutralised two suspected terrorists during a patrol in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m. on April 30 near Dankwabo village, according to a post on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama.

Troops from the 17 Brigade reportedly encountered a group of armed men during the operation, leading to a gunfight. Two of the suspects were killed, while others fled the scene.

Items recovered include an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, two rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a motorcycle, four mobile phones, a power bank, and ₦20,000 in cash.

Security sources said follow-up operations are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects and secure the area against further threats.
