The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has urged personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, maintain high morale and uphold discipline in the discharge of their duties.
According to a statement by Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the CAS gave the charge on February 19, 2026, during an inspection of operational platforms, maintenance facilities and mission support infrastructure at the 303 Composite Group in Ilorin.
Aneke emphasised that airpower provides the NAF with speed, reach and precision, noting that when effectively deployed, it becomes a decisive force multiplier in counterterrorism operations.
He commended personnel of the unit for their professionalism and combat preparedness, stressing that operational readiness must be sustained through consistent discipline and mission-focused conduct.
“Operational readiness is not a one-time achievement; it is a sustained culture. Platforms must remain serviceable, intelligence must be actionable, and personnel must stay mission-focused at all times,” he said.
The CAS also assured the unit of continued support from NAF Headquarters in logistics, training and welfare to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness.
