Kwara State has emerged as the leading state in the All Progressives Congress (APC) ongoing e-registration exercise in the North Central zone, according to the party’s National Vice Chairman for the region, Alhaji Muazu Bawa.
Bawa disclosed this during a working visit to Ilorin, where he commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and party officials in the state for their commitment and the level of success recorded in the registration drive.
He said reports from states he had visited across the zone showed Kwara outperforming others, describing the state’s performance as the best so far and attributing the achievement to effective leadership and good governance.
Responding, Governor AbdulRazaq said Kwara had recorded significant progress in the exercise, with over 227,000 members already registered, adding that the party would intensify efforts to attract more registrants despite challenges such as network issues.
The governor also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC national leaders for policies and reforms he said were drawing new members to the party, while supporting calls for an extension of the e-registration period to allow more people to participate.
