Big Brother Naija housemates Denari and Danboskid have alleged that recent emotional outbursts and confrontations in the house were staged performances aimed at gaining attention and sympathy.
On Tuesday night, the reality show witnessed multiple heated exchanges, including confrontations between Koyin and Kaybobo, Mensan and Kaybobo, Ivatar and Otega, and Rooboy and Head of House Jason Jae. The disputes left Koyin, Mensan, and Kaybobo in tears.
However, Denari, in a private conversation with Danboskid, dismissed the emotions on display as insincere. He accused some housemates of deliberately escalating conflicts and faking tears to manipulate others, particularly the female contestants.
“People escalate things in this house and I’m sitting back and observing. It’s a performance,” Denari said. “Mensan cried fake tears and Kaybobo also cried fake tears because he has been watching this guy cry.”
Danboskid agreed, claiming Kaybobo was mimicking Mensan’s emotional display to gain similar attention. “Kaybobo was crying because he wants to have the attention he saw the housemates giving to Mensan,” he said.
In response, the pair discussed staging their own dramatic moment to balance the narrative and draw attention to themselves. Denari suggested planning a choreographed confrontation, saying, “We need a perfect performance; a proper flare-up that will start from an anti-climax to the climax.”
When Danboskid asked if they were about to start acting, Denari replied, “No, we are giving a performance. We don’t care.”
The exchange has raised questions about authenticity and strategy among housemates, adding a new layer of intrigue to the ongoing season of BBNaija.
