A senior officer with the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), Niger State Command, has been kidnapped.
Abdulrahman Ibrahim Gegele, an assistant controller of corrections was kidnapped along Ilorin-Minna road, according a statement by the Command’s spokesman in Niger State, CSC Rabiu Mohammed Shuaibu.
ROYAL NEWS gathered that the officer was abducted on his way to Minna from Ilorin where he went on vacation.
He said the abductors contacted the family once two days ago and he was allowed to speak with them but since then there had been no further communication from them.
Shuaibu said the controller of corrections, in Niger State, Mohammed Hamisu Isa solicited prayers for his safe release.
