EFCC arrests 93 suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 93 individuals in Ogun State over alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The agency announced the arrests in a statement on its official X account on Sunday, stating that the suspects were apprehended during a sting operation in Abeokuta, the state capital, on August 10, 2025.

According to the EFCC, operatives from the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 carried out the operation after receiving credible intelligence linking the suspects to various online scams.

During the raid, officials recovered 18 vehicles and several mobile devices from the suspects.

The anti-graft agency said the individuals will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
