A retired Grand Kadi of Kwara State, Hon. Justice Idris Abdullahi Haroon, OFR, has joined other subjects and admirers of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, in congratulating him on the occasion of his 29th years coronation anniversary as he described the monarch as a divinely refined gentleman.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin over the weekend, Justice Haroon described the Emir as a monarch who is imbued with strong faith, vision, forthrightness and foresight.
The renowned jurist pointed out that the foremost traditional ruler is also an epitome of patriotism and steadfastness, adding that the contributions of the Emir to the prevailing harmonious co-existence among the people and residents of the State are too manifest to be overlooked.
Justice Haroon also explained that the Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, who is also the Chancellor of Muhammad Kamalud-Deen University, Ilorin, is a leader with impeccable characters and inherent wisdom, saying that the monarch has proven to all that he is a clean and direct son of the legendary Sheikh Alimi from the two sides.
The retired Grand Kadi also recalled the days of the monarch on the bench as he acknowledged that the Emir was an incorruptible Judge as he said that Alhaji Sulu-Gambari would go down in history as the most successful Emir of Ilorin and as a traditional ruler who has engraved his name in gold not only in the annals of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State but also Nigeria at large .
Justice Haroon, who acknowledged the unprecedented landmarks and achievements dotting the entire landscape of the Emirate since the reign of the Emir began, wished Alhaji Sulu-Gambari many more peaceful and rewarding years on the throne of his illustrious forebears.
