Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has described former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi as the only active force in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying other members are “semi-existent.”
Fayose made the remarks on Friday during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, monitored by NEWSMEN.
He added that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is “technically no more” and described the party as “dead.”
Speaking further, Fayose said Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde should not be implicated in the current challenges facing the PDP.
He elaborated: “Obi is the only life in ADC; all other people in ADC are semi-existent. If Obi had stayed in Labour Party or moved to Accord Party, he would still be the only life there. All the other people, they are old-forces, they are not existing.”
Fayose also spoke about his political stance, noting: “Openly, I supported Tinubu in 2023. I didn’t hide it. Till now I’m still there. I don’t jump. I have said it to you I’m not a member of APC and I will never be.”
