Full Results from Africa and Europe as 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Continue

Match Day 8 (Africa) and Match Day 6 (Europe) of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers were concluded on Tuesday, producing dramatic results across both continents.

At the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa and Nigeria shared the spoils in a tense 1-1 draw. A William Troost-Ekong own-goal and Calvin Bassey’s equalizer ensured both sides settled for a point apiece.

In Kinshasa, Senegal staged a remarkable comeback, overturning a two-goal deficit to defeat DR Congo 3-2 at the Stade des Martyrs.

Elsewhere in Africa, Kenya hammered Seychelles 5-0, Cape Verde stunned Cameroon 1-0, and Benin thrashed Lesotho 4-0.

Europe also witnessed drama, with England cruising to a 5-0 victory over Serbia in Belgrade, while Norway demolished Moldova 11-1. Portugal edged Hungary 3-2 in Budapest, and France secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Iceland.

The qualifiers resume in October as teams edge closer to securing their place at the 2026 World Cup.
