The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 62 people for alleged immoral activities during a raid in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area.

Deputy Commandant of the board, Mujahid Aminudeen, told journalists on Monday that the arrests, carried out on Sunday in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), followed an intelligence report. He said the suspects, comprising 27 men and 35 women, were apprehended at the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) training centre, where they allegedly took advantage of heavy rainfall to engage in the act.

Aminudeen added that another raid was conducted at Tamburawa Bridge, leading to further arrests. He noted that all suspects would be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
