The leadership of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kwara State Council, on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to Emirate Radio 98.5 FM, Ilorin, in a move aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting growth within the media landscape.
Led by its Chairman, Alhaji Biola Azeez, the union expressed joy over the official commissioning of the Radio station stressing the establishment of Emirate 98.5 FM is testimony of hardwork and dedication which will further boost professionalism in Radio broadcasting in the state.
Other members of the Executives are; the Vice Chairman, Ibrahim Alege, Secretary, Mosunmola Abayomi, Treasurer,  Afusat Agunbiade, Financial Secretary, Sikirat Shehu and Oluseyi Dasilva as well as the Assistant Secretary, Ibrahim Alagunmu.

In his remarks, Mr. Biola Azeez noted that th union will continue to strengthen the existing relationship between the correspondent Chapel and the Radio in the areas of news gathering and reporting.
He however prayed for the station to continue to growth and become the leading Radio Platform in the state.

In his response, CEO of Emirate 98.5 FM, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, warmly welcomed the journalists and highlighted the critical roles of media professionals in shaping perspectives and opinions.

He shared insights from his own career, underscoring the importance of social networking, professional development, and dedication to journalism career.

He further reiterated that Emirate 98.5 FM remains open to mutual collaborations and is keen to benefit from the expertise of NUJ members on the areas of idea exchange, on the job training and workshops.
