Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR and the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR have been formally invited to the unveiling of a book titled: Shaykh (Dr.) Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON: The Spiritual Orator.
The book launch which is scheduled to hold on Thursday 27th November 2025 at the Banquet Hall, Opposite Government House, Ilorin is the biography of Shaykh (Dr.) Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON, revealing his birth, career, emergence and service as the 12th Chief Imam of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Ulama.
The event will also witness a public lecture to be delivered by the former Vice Chancellor, University of Abuja, Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’Allah while the book will be reviewed by the former Dean, Post-Graduate Studies, University of Ilorin, Prof. Yusuf Lanre Badmas.
Other dignitaries expected at the event are; Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN, President of the 8th Senate and Waziri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, Kwara Central Senator and Turaki of Ilorin Emirate, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the Zanna of Ilorin Emirate, Engr. Yusuf Lanre Sagaya OFR and the Kuliya of Ilorin Emirate, Malam Yusuf Olaolu Ali SAN.
The event will also have in attendance dignatries from all walks of life, academicians, traditional chiefs, Islamic scholars among others.
The 14-chapter book which is authored by Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, a seasoned journalist and Press Secretary to the Emir of Ilorin, is a comprehensive analysis of both the private and public life-style of the Chief Imam of Ilorin who was appointed in 1983 as the 12th Chief Imam by the 9th Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Zuluqarnaini Gambari Mohammed CFR.
