NBA Expands Digital Reach with New Platform

Date:

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the launch of its new multi-platform streaming service and a revamped NBA TV, offering nonstop basketball coverage and original programming starting Wednesday, October 15.

Available via the NBA App, the streaming platform and NBA TV will provide fans with 24/7 access to live games, highlights, original shows, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content, creating a global hub for basketball.

The centerpiece of the reimagined platform is “The Association,” a new weeknight primetime show featuring MJ Acosta-Ruiz, David Fizdale, Rudy Gay, Chris Haynes, and John Wall. The programme will celebrate NBA culture, offer expert analysis, and guide fans through must-watch matchups.

“NBA TV and the NBA App are designed to be a connected, global hub for basketball coverage,” said Sara Zuckert, NBA Senior Vice President and Head of NBA App. “Fans will enjoy a seamless, always-on experience 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

NBA TV will broadcast 60 regular-season games, starting October 25 with the defending champions, Oklahoma City Thunder, facing the Atlanta Hawks. The service will also showcase hundreds of international and developmental games in partnership with Sportradar, featuring leagues such as Australia’s NBL, France’s LNB, Spain’s Liga ACB, China’s CBA, and the Korean Basketball League.

A new series, “Future Starts Now,” will spotlight U.S. high school tournaments and emerging basketball prospects, while “Real Training Camp” will grant exclusive access to NBA teams’ preseason preparations, including the Lakers, Warriors, Nuggets, Mavericks, and Pistons.

Other featured programming includes:

  • “Loud City: The OKC Thunder’s Championship Season,” narrated by Jalen Williams, chronicling the team’s road to the NBA title.

  • “Coaches Corner,” hosted by Tim Legler, with one-on-one interviews with NBA coaches.

  • Live coverage of three tripleheaders beginning December 20 and an all-day New Year’s Eve lineup of games.

Fans can also enjoy WNBA, G League, and Basketball Africa League games, plus podcasts and creator-led content from voices like Bree Green, Lethal Shooter, and Jesser — all accessible on one integrated platform.
