Nigerians Rally at INEC Abuja in Ongoing ‘Save Democracy’ Protest

Date:

ABUJA — Hundreds of Nigerians converged on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Abuja on Wednesday as part of the continuing “Save Democracy” protest.

Many protesters wore “Operation Save Our Democracy” T-shirts and carried red and white placards with various messages calling for electoral reforms and accountability.

Videos cited during the movement showed supporters of activists and politicians, including Aisha Yesufu, Mama Pee, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, actively participating in the demonstration.

The protest atmosphere was energetic, with participants chanting slogans such as “We no go gree” and calling for the removal of the INEC chairman, Amupitan.

A separate video also captured prominent ADC figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Kwankwaso, and David Mark, preparing to lead a segment of the protest at Maitama Roundabout in the Federal Capital Territory.

The demonstrations form part of a wider civic movement demanding greater transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s electoral process.
