The Ward Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for Ketawa Ward in Gezawa Local Government Area, Kano State, Rt. Hon. Isyaku Ali Danja, has formally resigned from the party, effective immediately.
In a letter dated March 29, 2026, addressed to the NNPP, Danja said the decision followed careful consideration.
He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as a party member and acknowledged the experiences and relationships he gained during his tenure.
The resignation letter stated: “I, Rt. Hon. Isyaku Ali Danja, a registered member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), hereby wish to formally tender my resignation from the party with immediate effect. This decision has been made after careful consideration. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to have been a member of the party and for the experience and relationships built during my time as a member of the party. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
The resignation marks a notable development for the NNPP in Gezawa LGA, although Danja did not disclose any specific reasons beyond personal consideration.
