Nottingham Forest have been dealt a major setback after Ola Aina was ruled out for up to three months with a hamstring injury.
The defender picked up the problem while on international duty with Nigeria, limping off just 10 minutes into the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Tuesday.
According to the Telegraph, the 27-year-old is not expected to return until the end of the year.
Aina’s absence comes as a significant blow for new Forest boss Ange Postecoglou, who is aiming to make a strong start to his tenure at the City Ground.
Forest resume Premier League action this weekend with a tough trip to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
