Oyo Gov’t Sternly Warns Marketers Against Illegal Diesel Sale

The Oyo State government has condemned the persistent sale of adulterated diesel products at unauthorized places along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, describing it as an eyesaw.

The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Architect Abdulmojeed Olawale Mogbonjubola, during a monitoring and enforcement exercise, along the route directed the demolition of all structures housing the “blackmarketers” of diesel products.

The Commissioner, while addressing the illegal marketers, hinted of his earlier visit and warnings on the need to put a halt to illegal trading of the products along the axis.

He lamented the lackadaisical attitudes of the sellers, despite several warnings on the position of the State Government against the illegal business.

In a similar development, Architect Mogbonjubola has directed traders at the Fish Market situated at Odo-Ona Kekere, in Ibadan to prioritize sanitation.

The Commissioner, during his visit, conveyed the marketers to the black spot in the premises, warned against further dumping of refuse, advising them to engage the service of Environmental Consultant.
