Veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has announced the death of his newborn baby girl, just hours after she was delivered on Friday, April 10, in a heartbreaking turn of events.
Doyle revealed that the baby, named Omayinuwa, was born at about 10:40 a.m. on Friday but passed away the following day, Saturday, April 11, at around 4:15 p.m.
In a social media post, the actor described the brief life of his daughter as one that brought “great joy,” adding that although her stay was short, it was deeply meaningful to the family.
The actor had earlier celebrated the birth of the child on Facebook, expressing gratitude to God and noting that both mother and baby were doing well at the time, which prompted congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues.
Doyle and his family are now mourning the loss, with the actor expressing acceptance of the tragic development in an emotional tribute and thanking God despite the painful experience.
