Petrol sells at N500 per litre, ATM points deserted in Ilorin

Sellers of black market petrol in Ilorin the Kwara State capital took the advantage of the ongoing Governorship and House of Assembly elections to sell the product at N500 per litre.

ROYAL NEWS correspondent gathered that stranded motorists and motorcycle riders had no choice than to buy 5litres petrol at N2,500 for them to proceed on their respective errands.

This is coming on the heel that there is nationwide restriction on the operation of filling stations as well as other social investments and services as all ATM points visited were deserted even though, there was no assurance whether the machines are loaded with cash or not.
