Phyna: Nigerian Men Are Intimidated by Bold and Confident Women

Date:

Former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna (Josephine Otabor), has said she is still single because Nigerian men are intimidated by confident and independent women.

Speaking during a recent Twitch livestream, the reality star claimed that many Nigerian men prefer partners they can control and often avoid women who are outspoken or independent.

Phyna explained that her expressive personality and social media presence often lead men to form negative assumptions about her even before meeting her in person.

She maintained that she is unapologetic about who she is, saying she has no intention of changing her personality or lifestyle to fit into any man’s expectations.

According to her, confident and “loud” women like herself are often misunderstood, but she is not bothered by the trend and remains comfortable with her identity.
