Veteran Fuji musician Remi Aluko has advised his colleagues and fans to refrain from quarrelling over personal matters such as age and financial status, describing such disputes as meaningless and divisive.
Aluko made the appeal during a recent fan engagement event, where he emphasized the need for mutual respect within the entertainment industry. He stressed that age and bank balances are private issues and should not become sources of rivalry.
“There are two things we shouldn’t fight over in life—age and your account balance,” Aluko stated. “Everyone knows their birth date. There’s no need to argue over such things.”
Aluko, who has been active in the Fuji scene for more than 20 years, also expressed respect for fellow Fuji musician Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, recognizing him as a senior in the industry.
“I can call Atawewe my boss because he was already known in the industry before I gained recognition,” he said.
His comments come amid frequent clashes and debates among musicians over status and relevance, especially on social media.
Aluko’s message was met with applause from fans present at the gathering, many of whom praised his humility and focus on unity.
The Fuji star also reiterated the importance of prioritizing music and artistic growth over personal egos and public comparison.
