Reminisce Announces New Album Set for September 2025

Date:

Nigerian rapper Reminisce has confirmed the release of his eighth studio album, scheduled to drop in September 2025.

The veteran artist made the announcement via a brief post on X (formerly Twitter), stating simply: “New Album September.” While he did not disclose the album’s title or specific release date, the confirmation has sparked anticipation among fans and industry watchers.

The forthcoming project will be Reminisce’s first full-length album since his 2024 EP Sui Generis, which featured collaborations with prominent artists including Vector, BadBoy Timz, and Bhadboi OML. The EP was well received and marked a continuation of the rapper’s consistent output.

Reminisce, known for his lyrical prowess and versatility, has built a solid discography that includes critically acclaimed albums such as My Book of Rap Stories, Alaga Ibile, Baba Hafusa, and El Hadj.

His debut album, My Book of Rap Stories, introduced his unique blend of Yoruba and English rap, while Alaga Ibile became a commercial success, reportedly selling over 13 million copies in the Alaba market.

In 2015, Baba Hafusa made history by debuting at number 12 on the Billboard World Albums chart, making Reminisce the first African rapper to achieve such a milestone. He followed up with El Hadj in 2016, which also debuted on the Billboard chart at number 13.

The upcoming album is expected to build on this legacy, further reinforcing Reminisce’s status as one of Africa’s most influential hip-hop artists.

As the September release date approaches, fans await more details including the album title, tracklist, and featured artists.
