Rodrygo, Pérez in Cold war at Real Madrid

Date:

Brazilian forward Rodrygo is reportedly growing increasingly unsettled at Real Madrid, amid what has been described as a “cold war” with club president Florentino Pérez, according to The TouchlineX via Joaquim Piera.

Sources close to the player suggest that Rodrygo feels undervalued at the club and is disillusioned with his reduced role under manager Xabi Alonso, which has pushed him toward considering a departure from the Spanish giants.

While there is no formal decision yet, the possibility of Rodrygo leaving this summer is being explored, though complications persist. Notably, the 23-year-old does not have a professional agent; instead, his father has been acting in that capacity — despite lacking experience in the transfer market.

As a result, multiple intermediaries have become involved, working to secure a potential move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Chelsea among the interested clubs.

Real Madrid, however, have reportedly set a €100 million price tag for Rodrygo and will not entertain offers below that threshold.

The final decision regarding his future is expected to be made before the start of the new season, as tensions continue to simmer behind the scenes.
