ROYAL NEWS announces Best Student awards for UNILORIN, KWASU, Kwara Poly

The ROYAL NEWS Online Newspaper on Thursday announced the publication will start giving awards to best graduating students of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State University and Kwara State Polytechnic.

The publisher of the newspaper, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, disclosed this as commemoration while delivering his welcome speech at the 10th year anniversary of the publication.

The yearly awards for the best graduating students will honour best law graduate from Kwara State University; best Mass Communication graduate from University of Ilorin and; best Mass Communication graduate from Kwara State Polytechnic for their outstanding performances.

According to Arowona, the awards are as follows; “Emir Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari Award of Excellence for the best graduating student in the Department of Mass Communication at the Kwara State Polytechnic.

“Emir Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari Award of Excellence for the best graduating student in the Department of Mass Communication at the Kwara State University, Malete.

“ROYAL NEWS ONLINE NEWSPAPER Award of Excellence for the best graduating students in the Department of Mass Communication at the University of Ilorin.

“Winners shall be given the sum of N50,000 annually in appreciation of their academic breakthroughs.”

The Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr Kayode Alabi, ably representing the state Governor, former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Pauline Tallen, and many other dignitaries graced the noble event.

Also, many Royal Fathers are present at the event.

Part of the event to mark the anniversary also capture book presentation and royal lecture.
