Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, known professionally as Rudeboy, has vowed to pursue legal action after a user on X (formerly Twitter) accused him of sexually assaulting a domestic worker, prompting a storm of online reaction.
The controversy began when @darkskinnedtemi suggested Rudeboy had been unfaithful to his ex-wife with a housemaid. Another user, identified as Ayomide Agoola (@chubbiedivah), then published a sharper allegation, claiming the singer “raped/coerced their domestic help” and asserting the woman was “most likely wayyyy younger.” Those claims have not been independently verified.
Rudeboy responded on Wednesday with a forceful post on his X account, warning the accuser that he would use his “power, resources and money” to pursue her through the courts and make an example of her. He wrote in full: “I hardly reply !!! But you see this one !!! @chubbiedivah if you like go private , leave X !! I will find you, I will use every necessary means, power, resources and money !!! You will face the law , I will use you to set an example!! (scapegoat )… your only way out is to leave the surface of this earth and relocate to space .. to everyone that brought my attention to her tweet … thank you.”
Social media users reacted with mixed responses: some defended Rudeboy and called for legal redress if the allegations are false, while others expressed concern for the safety of the accuser and urged any threatened person to seek protection. Several threads reported that the account making the explicit allegation was deactivated following the exchange.
It was not immediately clear whether a formal police complaint or defamation suit has been filed. The allegations remain unproven; no court finding or official charge related to the claims has been made public.
