Date:

Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on his 84th birthday.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the governor described Adeboye, who turned 84 on Monday, as a respected global preacher with an unblemished record of service in God’s kingdom spanning several decades.

Sanwo-Olu said the cleric’s life of dedication and selfless service has made him a role model to many religious leaders and Christians worldwide. He also noted Adeboye’s role as the second National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, crediting him with raising millions of committed followers within RCCG and beyond.

“Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is a true ambassador of God. He has been a blessing not just to the Redeemed Christian Church of God but also to us in Lagos State and the country,” the governor said.

Sanwo-Olu added that Adeboye’s prayers and counsel over the years have contributed significantly to the development and progress witnessed in Lagos State.

Fondly known as “Daddy GO,” Adeboye was further described by the governor as one of the most respected global evangelists who has advanced the gospel nationally and internationally without scandal.

The governor prayed for continued grace and strength for the cleric to keep spreading the gospel and impacting lives positively. (NAN)
