The Commissioner of Police of the State, Mr Ayuba El_kana, who frowned at the issue explained that as far as the command is concerned, no single report came to it in respect of what Dauran has accused them of committing.

According to the Commissioner, it is the constitutional duty of the police to ensure peace, law and order, and in every part of the country.

Ayuba _elkana then reminded the Committee chairman of the need to always cross check things before airing it to the public, and stay within the limit if his powers and allow police, who are constitutionally shouldered with the responsibility of protecting lives and property of the people to do their job.

The Commissioner who spoke through the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Shehu Muhammed,,also wondered how a person can bite the finger that fed him. This man was once a police officer, and he grew in it, and the same person was deteriorating his place”.
