Sunshine Stars head coach, Olarewaju Ale, has expressed confidence that his side will open the second stanza of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season with a victory.
The Owena Waves are set to face Beyond Limits FA on Saturday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne in their first fixture of the second round.
Ale said the team is determined to improve on its first-round performance, stressing that preparations have been thorough.
“The fans should expect nothing more than victory because we have prepared very well,” Ale said. “The players have shown enough zeal and we are ready to fight for the maximum points, starting with our game against Beyond Limits FA.”
Sunshine Stars currently sit fifth on the NNL Conference A table with seven points, while Beyond Limits occupy third place with 11 points, setting the stage for a keenly contested encounter.
