UNILORIN VC Felicitates Muslims on End of Ramadan

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, has congratulated Muslims within the institution and across the world on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

In a statement issued by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, the Vice Chancellor described the end of Ramadan as a moment for reflection and gratitude, noting that not all who began the fasting period lived to witness its conclusion.

He urged Muslims to sustain the values of discipline, piety and generosity cultivated during the holy month in their daily interactions.

Prof. Egbewole also extended his congratulations to key figures in Kwara State, including Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Emir of Ilorin Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Chairman of the UNILORIN Muslim Community Mudashiru Olalere Yusuf, and the Chief Imam of the University’s Central Mosque Nasir AbdulsSalam.

The Vice Chancellor, who also serves as Secretary-General of the Association of West African Universities, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence among people of different religious and cultural backgrounds.

He added that the university would continue to prioritise quality service delivery and the training of professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to society.
