The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned its members against engaging in anti-party activities, stressing that it will no longer condone actions that could fuel internal conflict or undermine party unity.

In a statement on Monday, the State Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, said the party had uncovered “speculative and misleading claims” circulating online, alleging that some disgruntled members from Shinkafi Local Government Area had dragged the party to court over supposed unconstitutional sanctions.

The reports claimed that Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi, Kabiru Ibrahim, and Ibrahim D. Kurya filed a suit on November 16, marked ZMS/GS/65/2025, seeking legal intervention over an alleged disciplinary action against them.

Gusau dismissed the report as entirely false, insisting that no member from Shinkafi had been sanctioned and that the party had not received any court order relating to the matter.

“The party is not aware of any disciplinary action or suspension involving its members from Shinkafi, nor has it received any directive from a court of law in that regard,” he said.

He alleged that those behind the online claims may be attempting to pre-empt possible sanctions over their suspected involvement in anti-party activities and their perceived closeness to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Gusau maintained that the APC would not allow politically motivated misinformation to derail its growing support base or destabilise the party’s renewed cohesion in Zamfara.
