The Chairman of Ilorin Central Eid Praying Ground Committee and Principal Partner of Yolas Consultants, Engr. Yusuf Lanre Sagaya OFR, has expressed sympathy over the passing of the Chief Imam of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Ulama, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON.
Sagaya, who is also the Zanna of Ilorin Emirate, expressed shock over the unfortunate incidence, describing the Imam Bashir’s death as a great loss to humanity.
The traditional chief recalled his relationship with the cleric on both personal and community services ground adding that the 12th Chief Imam was a selfless, dedicated and committed religious leader with distinction.
“I was invited and honoured to be the Chairman of the launching of his Biography titled: “The Spiritual Orator ” which was held less than two months ago. His legacies shall continue to linger in our memories.
“I sincerely sympathise with the children and widows of Shaykh Muhammad Bashir Imam Solih OON, his extended family members, students, friends and associates over the colossal loss”, Sagaya added.
He also sent his condolences to the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the entire Muslim Ummah across Nigeria.
He therefore prayed Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannah Firdaus and comfort the families that he left behind.
