Emir of Ilorin hails CP Jimoh Moshood’s appointment as Lagos CP

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Police Service Commission, (PSC) for appointing Jimoh Moshood as the new Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command.

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari specially thanked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, for finding CP Jimoh Moshood worthy of the task of securing the nation’s Centre of Excellence.

He noted that CP Jimoh Moshood’s previous appointments as Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner, Airport Police; Deputy Commissioner, Finance and Administration, Deputy Commissioner General Investigation and Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority, Eastern Ports will further enhance his ability to deliver in the tasks ahead of him.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however prayed that Almighty Allah should guide and protect him as he resumes office to secure lives and property in Lagos State.

He therefore appealed to the entire people of Lagos State and its environs to support him in his assignment of ensuring a crime-free atmosphere in the state.
