58yr-old Kano pilgrim, Hadiza Ismai’il dies in S’Arabia

The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Danbappa, has confirmed the demise of a 58-year-old female pilgrim, Hadiza Ismai’il, while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

ROYAL NEWS reports that Ismai’iI had since been buried in Mecca after a funeral prayer in Ka’aba Mosque.

Danbappa in a statement issued on Wednesday said: “On behalf of the Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Yusuf, while condoling with the family of the deceased, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant her eternal rest, as well as to grant the family members the fortitude to bear the loss.

Ismai’il, who died on Monday around 3:15pm Saudi Arabia local time following a brief illness, was from the Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State.

She was said to be down with a fever and was rushed to the NAHCON hospital for treatment but was transferred to King Abdulaziz Hospital, Mecca, where she was certified dead.
