PDP Unveils Sub-Committees for 2025 National Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released the names of members appointed to various sub-committees ahead of its 2025 Elective National Convention, scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, from November 15 to 16.

The announcement was made TODAY through the party’s official X account and signed by the Chairman of the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) and Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri.

According to the statement, the convention will elect new national officers, with over 100 members drawn into sub-committees covering accreditation, security, logistics, electoral processes, and other functions.

Key committees are chaired by prominent PDP governors, senators, and party stalwarts. The Accommodation Committee is chaired by Governor Ademola Adeleke, with Dr. Ibrahim Dankwambo as deputy and Alhaji Gamboa Gade as secretary. Accreditation will be led by Governor Dauda Lawal, assisted by Ashamu Abantekewei and Umar Bature.

Governor Douye Diri chairs the Contact and Mobilisation Committee, with Senator Abba Moro as deputy and Emmanuel Ekpe as secretary. The Constitutional Amendment Committee is chaired by former Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel, with Barr. Mark Jacob and Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN, serving as deputy and secretary, respectively.

The Electoral Sub-Committee is headed by Governor Fintiri, with Adeleke as deputy chairman and Dr. Okereke Ipeazu as secretary. Entertainment and Welfare will be chaired by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, supported by Hajiya Hassana Dikro and Mrs. Amina Darasimi.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki leads the Medical Sub-Committee, with Jumoke Akinjide as deputy and Dr. Josephine Ugeh as secretary. Dr. Agbo Emmanuel will chair the Monitoring and Evaluation Sub-Committee, alongside Senator Tajudeen Abbas and Dr. Edward Aje.

Other key committees include Protocol, led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang; Publicity, chaired by Governor Bala Mohammed; Security, headed by Governor Kefas Agbu; and Transportation, chaired by Governor Seyi Makinde. The Venue Committee will be led by Oyo State’s Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal.

The PDP said the appointments reflect its commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent convention that will usher in a new leadership team.
